WaterGeeks Offers On-The-Go Water Filtration Bottles

My co-workers make fun of me on a daily basis because I am never seen walking around the office without a bottle of water in hand. I consciously try to keep hydrated at all times, as I realize the benefits of drinking plenty of water for my skin and overall health. However, living in New York, City, I don’t exactly trust the water that comes from the tap, which both smells and tastes terrible. But buying 10-plus bottles of water per day not only costs a fortune but it is also environmentally irresponsible. Now, thanks to the fine folks at WaterGeeks, I no longer have to struggle with this issue. The company recently introduced the Pure Blue Filtered Bottle, a portable, affordable solution created to reduce chlorine, chromium, heavy metals, and other contaminants found in tap water. The filter capacity is 80 gallons (which is about 800 12-ounce servings), so it doesn’t have to be changed often. The bottles are available in a variety of colors, so I can even look stylish while drinking responsibly! To find out more or to order your own bottle, click here.

Exhale Mind Body Spa Creates a Skincare Revolution

Between my love for the summer sun, the changing climate, and the harsh reality of aging, my skin tends to require a lot of attention. That’s why I was thrilled to hear about Exhale Mind Body Spa’s new and unique Skincare Revolution initiative. Starting in October, this program is designed to meet client’s specific needs, whether skin is dry, mature, oily, acne prone, combination, or aging. After a consultation, an esthetician creates a customized approach to target and solve existing skincare issues while also preventing further damage. The client may choose between a regimen of four, eight, or twelve sessions. Exhale’s main goal is to build the foundation for healthy skin that can also be maintained at home, so clients will also enjoy a 25 percent discount on skincare products purchased during the program to maintain their newly glowing and revitalized skin.

Shortcuts Launches Scorecard Feature

Shortcuts launched its latest feature, Scorecard, specifically for business owners who have ever wondered if expectations on staff are too low, if sales targets lack ambition, or if marketing could be more driven. Scorecard allows spas and salons to compare their performance against others in their city or state or across the country. In addition, Scorecard users can view sales, statistics, retail numbers, and more to see where they are at and where they should improve. “Many technology companies in other industries, including Google, have been creating similar systems to help their clients understand their performance and benchmark themselves against others in their category,” says Paul Tate, CEO North America for Shortcuts Software. “Viewed in context with other business results, your business data suddenly has more meaning and it’s much clearer what areas could use some work or where you excel compared to others.”

SpaBooker Launches Facebook Scheduling Application

Cool social media news from SpaBooker by GramercyOne. The company has launched a Facebook application for spas that provides online booking for their customers without leaving the spa’s Facebook page. Following a completed booking, customers can share the appointment with friends, sending it viral. “We are recognized in the industry for our continuous product innovation, bringing the latest technology and marketing services to our clients,” says Josh McCarter, CEO of GramercyOne. “We see tremendous excitement in the industry for the SpaBooker Facebook scheduling app and eager anticipation of the new business that will be driven to our clients through this social marketing channel.”

So far, spas are excited about the new service. “SpaBooker’s new Facebook app is great, and our customers are going to love it,” says Kristen Haines, owner of Euphoria Spa (New York City). “To us, it means great service and more business. We love communicating through Facebook and now customers can book right then and there. To be able to capture the power of sharing the booking is awesome – we’re now into viral marketing!”

Mandarin New York’s Spa Vitality
Pools Get An Oxygen Boost

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, New York has introduced oxygen-intensified healing waters in its men’s and women’s Vitality Pools with the installation of technology from Oxygen Pur Spa. The spa is the first spa in the world to adopt Oxygen Pur Spa’s proprietary, infusion technology, which brings the therapeutic benefits of oxygen to spa-goers for enhanced wellbeing. Using the system, the spa’s Vitality Pools now feature supersaturated levels of dissolved oxygen, 20 times more than what is found in normal tap water. By using the oxygen-intensified Vitality Pools, guests can absorb increased oxygen through the skin, the largest organ in the body, substantially boosting oxygen levels in body tissue. Benefits of increased oxygen can include better skin cell respiration, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles, leaving skin clearer, softer, and healthier. Increased oxygen levels also assist with an overall release of toxins in the body, increased circulation, and elevated energy levels for a feeling of enhanced overall wellness. For visitors to this award-winning spa, it’s a true breath of fresh air.
