After 14 years at CND, president and CEO John Heffner has stepped down to spend more time with his family and explore new endeavors. He will continue his relationship with CND by serving as a consultant for one year. CND’s management team will now report directly to Sennen Pamich, president of Colomer USA and executive vice president of the Americas and Africa. In addition, CND founder, Jan Arnold, will remain as the head of the management team. Among his numerous contributions, Hefner is most proud of building an industry leading team, maintaining CND’s cultural integrity, and playing an important part in launching CND Shellac. “John has been both a personal and professional friend for over 14 years,” says Arnold. “During this time, CND has experienced tremendous change and exhilarating growth. We thank John for his contributions to the business and in particular to the people, whom he valued most. We wish him the very best!”
Last week, I headed south to visit Primland resort (Meadows of Dan, VA), set upon 21,000 acres in the midst of the Blue Ridge Mountains. While the spa was my primary reason for visiting, the resort’s numerous outdoor activities proved just as enticing. Donning my favorite ExOfficio gear, I was dressed for adventure, which is exactly what I got with an unforgettable ATV trail ride and a walk in the woods along the original Appalachian Trail. I also took aim at some sporting clays, surprising even myself when I proved to be a rather decent shot. When I finally retired to the spa after the day’s exploits, I found a menu of tempting treatments that offered up another adventure all their own.
