When it comes to testing out the latest and greatest in skincare rejuvenation equipment, I must admit that most of my experience comes from speedy sampling on the floors of industry trade shows. While I am lucky enough to receive spa services at spas around the globe, my state-of-the-art equipment experience often involves a little high-frequency here or a bit of light therapy there as an add-on to a more traditional facial. This all changed when I recently got to sample the amazing Le Magnifique ($350, 90 minutes) service with Kim Laudati, who recently debuted her eponymous skincare clinic on Manhattan’s Upper East side. The comprehensive treatment is the culmination of years of experience in the business where she tested out myriad products and equipment. I won’t give away her secrets (or the steps to the amazing service), but the 90-minute session involves a peel from Éminence Organic Skin Care, the NuFace microcurrent machine, radiofrequency, Intraceuticals Oxygen Therapy, Revitalight LED, BioTherapeutic Ultrasonic Resurfacing, and more. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by this array of state-of-the-art tools, the facial was relaxing and rejuvenating, Kim’s company was wonderful, and my skin looked absolutely incredible at the end of the service. “Post Le Magnifique, clients can expect an immediate healthy glow,” she says. “They look beautiful; refreshed, nourished, balanced, and energetic. The magic shows itself the following morning. That healthy glow shines from within, which is a distinctly different look than the immediate effect post facial treatment. This is proof positive that all of the wonderful non-invasive therapies that Western medicine has provided us truly does work.”
I couldn’t agree more with her assessment. For more on this “magnifique” service, be sure to check out the July issue of American Spa. And if you are in the city and would like to try it yourself, visit www.kimlaudatiskincare.com. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
