Traveling can sometimes add a great deal of stress to an already hectic life. For that reason, the InterContinental Suites Hotel (Cleveland) is turning its property into a haven of tranquility. It is the first hotel in the world to introduce the emWave Personal Stress Reliever to its guests as an amenity. The PSR is a heart-rhythm coherence feedback system that reduces stress and increases over-all well-being. Starting April 1, guests will be able to monitor stress levels using this hand-held device that reads heart rhythms and provides instant feedback. Those practicing the Quick Coherence technique while using the emWave PSR can see when their coherence level increase and learn how to manage and control anxiety and negative emotions. The device will also be available for purchase at the wellness shop for those who want enjoy the continued benefits at home. The introduction of the emWave PSR is part of the hotel’s transformation into distinctive environment of wellness. Renovations of the 162 suites are expected to be completed in July.
During the month of April, The Palms Aveda Spa (Miami Beach, FL) will feature a special Earth Month Massage to demonstrate the property’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. Guest who book the Earth Month Massage ($210, 80 minutes) will receive a limited-edition soy wax Aveda Light the Way Earth Month Candle, courtesy of the spa. The best part—100% of proceeds from the candles will be donated to Global Greengrants Fund to support clean water projects around the globe. Along with feeling great following this treatment that includes a body mask and a cold stone massage, guests can feel fabulous about helping the planet.
