We may be roasting away out here on the East coast, but the Pacific Northwest is enjoying the pleasures of an Indian Summer. To celebrate, Elaia Spa at Hyatt Olive 8 in Seattle is offering a selection of Indian Summer-themed treatments. Featuring locally sourced ingredients, the tantalizing treatments include:
- Rose Lavender Raw Cacao Wrap, which includes a French green clay base that draws out impurities while rich, organic oatmeal soothes and protects the skin. Finally, raw healing cacao and revitalizing olive oil meld with rose and lavender to calm and comfort.
- Lemon Neroli Green Tea Sugar Scrub, which harnesses the properties of lemon and neroli essential oils blended with calming, stabilizing ylang ylang to create an exfoliating cleanse.
- Market Fresh Facial, a coconut and citrus facial that is ideal for the summer season when the skin is exposed to the more sunlight.
In addition to these seasonal selections, the spa is honoring its most loyal clients with a Frequent Visitors Program, in which clients who book five treatments at the spa receive a sixth treatment for free. It’s an ideal way to extend the bountiful benefits of the season.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa at the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles is making happy hour even more enticing with its Happiest Hour offerings. Every Thursday through Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests can enjoy a variety of fabulous, fun extras, like complimentary champagne and light bites from the hotel’s own chef Eric Branger; discounts on retail products from lines such as Éminence Organic Skin Care, Carita, and Skinceuticals; and complimentary makeup applications using La Bella Donna mineral makeup for guests with a pre-booked spa appointment. Spa-goers are also invited to enjoy the spa’s skyline-view fitness center, rooftop pool, and whirlpool, featuring some of the best city vistas. Says spa director Kate Morrison, “Our Happiest Hour honors the true tradition of Downtown’s thriving after-work happy hour with addition of giving our guests the opportunity to truly rejuvenate and renew their body and spirit with a spa treatment.”
