Rome, Florence, and Venice are definitely scene-stealers when it comes to Italian cities that are hot spots with tourists. As if the gorgeous beaches and amazing cuisine weren’t enough reasons for visitors to head to the south of Italy, the brand-new Borgo Egnazia is slated to open a beautiful spa next month, which is sure to pique the interest of serenity seekers around the world.
The recently opened Borgo Egnazia resort in Puglia, Italy, (When looking at a map, Puglia is located in the “heel” of the boot) is set between olive groves and rolling hills on the Adriatic Coast and offers 63 rooms, in addition to private villas and townhouses. Guests can either hit the links or kick back at the 18,000-square-foot Egnathia Spa. Inspired by the baths of Ancient Rome, the spa is slated to feature a wet area with a frigidarium, caldarium, and a tepidarium; ten treatment rooms, including a couples’ room, spa suite with its own garden and steam room, and a Thai massage room; and a fitness area, featuring its own yoga room. Set to open next month, this seaside escape is sure to offer spa-goers serenity and a healthy dose of la dolce vita.
