Everything is Coming up Roses at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey

A few years ago, my sister and I started what would become a tradition of visiting The Hotel Hershey (Hershey, PA) during the holidays so her children could enjoy the magic that is Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. If you have never been there, let me assure you, it is quite the experience. There is a drive-through light show featuring more than 600 illuminated Christmas lights, numerous rides for the kids to enjoy, plenty of shopping in Santa’s Village, and, of course, a tour of the famed chocolate factory. After a packed day, we usually retire to our rooms and sleep soundly until the morning, with visions of, well, chocolate, dancing in our heads. Considering my profession, I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I have actually never had an opportunity to visit The Spa at The Hotel Hershey. So, when I recently received an email about The Hershey Rose Garden Collection, six new aromatherapy treatments, I immediately called my sister and told her to get a babysitter. The inspiration for the treatments came from the fact that roses have been a significant part of the Hershey family, as well as chocolate. The offerings include:

Rose Garden Hydrotherapy Bath ($55, 20 minutes) This water-therapy bath soothes aching muscles and joints and improves circulation.

Rose Garden Hydrating Body Wrap ($125, 50 minutes) Deeply moisturizing and revitalizing, the service includes an Ayurvedic scalp massage and a wrap to exfoliate the body, leaving it glowing.

Rose Garden Massage ($125, 50 minutes) Fusing Eastern and Western massage techniques, clients experience chakra balancing, spinal pressure, and muscle-tension release to help alleviate stress.

Rose Garden Anti-Aging Facial ($150, 50 minutes; $200, 80 minutes) This facial incorporates the regenerative properties of rose to rehydrate skin and reduce signs of aging.

Rose Garden Hand Treatment ($60, 50 minutes) This indulgent treatment features layers of rich oils, gels, and creams infused with rose to leave hands soft and smooth.

Rose Garden Foot Treatment ($60, 50 minutes) For tired tootsies in need of help, this service starts with a foot exfoliation, followed by a hydrating mask and moisturizers.

Available Mondays through Thursdays, these decadent indulgences are discounted at 20 percent off through the month of March as an introductory promotion. It’s such a great deal that my sister and I plan to take advantage of it and start a new tradition of our own.

Rose treatments! That sounds wonderful. Wish I could get up there to take advantage of that discount and get a massage.
