Blow Salon is a Curl’s Best Friend

nm_blowBecause I never really mastered the art of styling my own hair, most days you will find me sporting some variation of a ponytail. But, on occasion, I do enjoy getting a professional blowout at a salon. What I don’t enjoy, however, is the time and money it costs to have good hair for just a day or two. So I was thrilled five years ago with the opening of Blow, The New York Blow Dry Bar in the Meatpacking District. Not only can I get an inexpensive killer blowout in under an hour that lasts for days but I can also get a manicure simultaneously. And the opening of a second location near my office makes it even more convenient to look my best without going broke. (That’s where I recently got this fab blowout.)

SPATEC To Debut in Asia

ac953a73-f5e5-4b11-a7aa-debe80fedbafSPATEC, the appointment-based spa event from McLean Events that has found great success in North America and Europe over the past six years, will be launching in Asia at the Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort in Kota Kinabalu (Borneo, Malaysia) May 26-29.

“The climate in which we all operate dictates that return on investment is crucial with all monies allocated for business generation, requiring tangible results,” says Noor Kassam, chairman of Mclean Events International. “The SPATEC meeting forums allows key decision makers to network and talk business in a way that no trade show ever can. Our forums guarantee bringing together quality key decision makers for two days of face-to-face meetings in five-star hotels away from the everyday pressures of the office. SPATEC ASIA will allow people to build long lasting relationships”

According to show organizers, SPATEC ASIA aims to help develop the spa industry and expand the market by facilitating constructive and valuable interaction between the sector’s key decision makers and leading suppliers. It offers a formula of a two-day forum of face-to-face meetings between 50 Asian operators with more than 50 spa suppliers. Both buyers and suppliers choose who they would like to meet and are given a personal schedule of 20-minute meetings.
