At The Lodge at Woodloch (Hawley, PA), guests can welcome in autumn and the start of apple-picking season with the Fall Fuji Apple Body Polish ($120, 50 minutes) and the Fall Fuji Apple Manicure ($65, 50 minutes) and Fall Fuji Apple Pedicure ($85, 50 minutes). Both rely on the restorative properties of the Fuji apple to soften and nourish the skin. These new fall-inspired treatments give spa-goers one more way to incorporate that all-important apple a day.
Although I have grown to appreciate my curly locks, I still yearn for a change on occasion. And, because I am not very good at styling my own hair, I often turn to the professionals at Blow, the New York Blow Dry Bar, which has two locations in Manhattan. Not only does the salon offer expert blow outs that last for days (prices start at $40), but, when I am feeling particularly indulgent, I can also opt for a manicure, which is performed simultaneously. The best part is that I am in and out in less than an hour, which is record time considering the amount of hair I have. In fact, I have become so spoiled that I’m often disappointed by other blow outs I receive when I am outside of the city.
Luckily, Blow recently partnered with Fogg LLC Marketing to create a new salon distribution division designed to teach other stylists tips on how to create a “blueprint for a better blow out.” Stylists from salons around the country can attend classes at the Blow Dry Bar Academy, which are held Sundays at Blow’s uptown location. During the class, students will get the tools they need to create Blow’s signature blow out, as well as grow their businesses. Special introductory classes cost $300.
