Red Mountain Resort & Spa Gives Guests the Opportunity to Lend a Helping Paw

volunteer111Animal lovers won’t want to miss out on a new volunteer option offered this summer at Red Mountain Resort & Spa (St. George, UT). In addition to an all-encompassing wellness experience complete with spa treatments, personal discovery classes, and various fitness activities, guests can now spend an afternoon caring for rescued animals thanks to a new partnership the spa has established with the nearby Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. After a breathtaking hike in Zion National Part, volunteers head to the sanctuary to become acquainted with their new furry friends. They are given a tour of the property, which is home to nearly 2,000 rescued dogs, cats, horses, pigs, and other animals, followed by lunch. Offered weekly, the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Volunteer Experience is available for $129 per person. “Volunteering with the animals is a fantastic way for guests to join the more than 55 million Americans who have participated in volunteer tourism, all while enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings,” says general manager Tracey Welsh. “As a destination that supports well-being in all aspects of life, Red Mountain is thrilled to offer this fun volunteer experience to our guests.”
