New Spas Add Spice to the Miami Scene

Boasting steamy temperatures year-round, Miami is also home to some of the hottest new spas. Here are some recently opened spas that are proving to be perfect places to escape the summer sun.

Lapis at Fontainebleau Miami Beach: As part of a $1 billion makeover, the iconic Fontainebleau Hotel recently launched Lapis, a glam getaway for both locals and visitors. In addition to offering cutting-edge treatments, the 40,000-square-foot, 30-treatment room spa invites guests to relax and soak in the benefits of mineralized water through features such as a co-ed jet pool, steam baths, deluge showers, and rain tunnels. The Spa at Canyon Ranch Miami Beach: Spanning 70,000 square feet and featuring 54 treatment areas, this spa brings Canyon Ranch’s signature wellness experiences to South Florida. With offerings that range from classic treatments, to nutrition counseling, to fitness classes, to spiritual exploration sessions, to a full aquathermal suite called Aquavana, this luxe respite gives guests everything they need to truly get away.

Viceroy Spa at Icon Brickell: Designed by Philippe Starck, this 10-treatment-room spa is an über-modern masterpiece. Relaxation seekers can kick back in the 5,000-square-foot lounge offering a reflecting pond, hot and cold plunge pools, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the bay below.
