New England is known for its great ski areas and winter activities, but there are just as many, if not more, activities available in the spring and summer months. Nature loving spa-goers need look no further than the Mount Washington Resort (Bretton Woods, NH), which provides visitors with year-round activities. Since the resort is set amid nearly 800,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest, guests can choose from myriad outdoor adventures to enjoy during the day including mountain biking, horseback riding, disc golf, hiking and walking, fly fishing, and rock climbing. As if these activities were not enough to attract guests, the resort introduced the Simply Spa-tacular Package (starting at $215 per night). The package includes superior accommodations, daily breakfast, nightly turndown service, a welcome gift, one spa treatment per day, and a glass of wine or champagne after each treatment. It’s the perfect getaway for those looking to combine nature with relaxation.
